Robusta, as the name implies, is very robust. Discovered in the Belgian Congo (now Zaira) in the 19th century, Robusta is known for its ability to grow.

Robusta plants can grow and grow at lower altitudes than Arabica varieties, where temperatures are higher and especially resistant to pests and diseases. Thanks to these characteristics, the cost to grow Robusta is cheaper than Arabica. In contrast, the taste of Robusta coffee is not as good.

Vietnam’s Robusta is famous in the world for its relatively high output per hectare (area unit); The best Robusta coffee of the Central Highlands comes from different gardens in the Central Highlands provinces. For example, Robusta Dak Lak province must mention coffee in Buon Ho, Dak Nong province with delicious coffee grown in Dak Mil, delicious Robusta coffee in Dak Ha in Kon Tum province, Gia Lai province with Chu Se coffee.

 

Although it is also Robusta coffee, each land brings a different flavor, very delicate and superior to other lands. Lower geography in the south and southeast has provinces like Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai … also contribute a large volume of Robusta coffee, but the taste quality is somewhat inferior to Western Robusta coffee.
